A WINDY HAPPY END TO A WINDY WEEK

Dear friends and partners,
What a great windy week of racing for the 46 Nacra crews from 28 nations participating in this Eurosaf Champions Sailing Cup in Holland ! By winning the Medal Race , and ranked 8th overal (and 5th nations) we confirmed our place in the world elite. Despite an OCS disqualification for premature start, which heavily impacted on our final ranking , we are on track for Rio 2016 .

5th NATION at the EUROSAF CHAMPIONS SAILING CUP
Medemblik , The Netherlands, May 30, 2015 - After a week of intense work in Lake Garda devoted to hydrodynamic settings and testing new equipments (yes ... our sport is coming closer and closer to Formula 1), we headed to Holland for a "training" regatta and a validation of our options.
With all the World best Olympic Nacra sailors present, our team presented good racing statistics team this week in wind around 20 knots. Within 8 out of 12 races, we succeeded in top 10 finish with 2 wins, a 2nd and 3rd ranks. We were (almost) happy with our performance, although too many tiny mistakes still separate us from the podium.
With this incredibly high level of competition in the pre-Olympic year, no alternative ... we will have to work hard with our coach Sebbe Godefroid to aim for perfection.
Result Nacra 17 class, 46 teams of 28 nations, 12 races :
1. Cenholt/Lubeck DEN (61 pts), 2. Norregaard/Viborn DEN (63 pts), 3. Jones/Saunders NZL (66 pts), 4.Bessou/Riou FRA (71 pts), puis 8. Bühler/Brugger SUI (87 pts, 5ème nation, manches de 6, 18, 10, 17, 10, 3 ,OCS, 7, 1, 2, 11, 1)
After a few days break needed to recharge our batteries, we will be on the road again toward Weymouth UK ... the known London Olympics waters ... for a training followed by our next WorldCup, June 10th to 14th.
