2016 World Championship: offically selected for Rio

With a 9th place (7th nation) at the World Championship 2016, we qualified for the Rio Olympics according to the SwissOlympic criteria!

With a 8th place in the Medal race, we kept our 9th position overall. It's a bit of a mix feeling of happyness and a bit of desapointement. We have had such a good 2 previous regattas and a really good start of the Worlds... but well, we achieved what we came from and YES we are going to the Olympic. A short enews in French or in English.

Thanks to all for your great support... next stop, Rio in 2 weeks for training.

We have had a compliquated week, but we have made top 10 at the Worlds and that was one of our main goal. Tomorrow is the Medal race and we can still climb to 7th. We are super happy to have fulfil the criteria from SwissOlympic and now we can focus on specific details to improve and get closer to the podium.
Rio there we go !!!! It will be Mati first Olympics as a sailor (twice as a coach) and Nat's 3rd Olympics...we are all super exctied about it.

As expected, the 2 first days have been pretty tough out there ... Big waves and strong wind kept us awake :) After 5 races, we are currently sitting in 5th position.

45 Nacras will compete from tomorrow on, in Clearwater Beach. The weather forcast seams pretty windy ... and pretty cold for the first 2 days ... will be fun :)
