10 months ago, Mati and I decided to jump into a new ambitious project. We wanted to try this crazy catamaran, sailed mendatory in double mixed team.
With the help of the Gstaad Yacht Club who offered us our boat Nacra17, we could start to sail on this boat from December last year. We started from zero, like beginers said our first coach Toni Rivas :) . Days after days, capsizes afer capsizes, bruises after bruises, we improved a lot. Thanks to the help of very good catamaran sailors like Toni, Sebbe Godefroid or Laurent Voiron, we could climb the World ranking during the whole season to reach the top 5
The highlight of our season was of course our bronze medal at the World Championship but here are all the results of this year so far:
- WorldCup Palma 18th
- WorldCup Hyères 3rd
- Europacup Medemblick 11th
- Europacup Kiel 5th
- World Championship 3rd
- European Chanpionship 5th
We are super happy with our season and with all our improvements during this year. We will keep working hard this winter with lots of training camps planned.
