Finals:
12th / 74 Nacras. It has been a tough week for us. We had a few issue with the boat after the crash on Day 1, and unfortunately also we made a number of mistakes on the water - including a few freestyle figures in over 25knts and big waves! :)
We have learnt a lot though and we look forward to put it all together at the next WorldCup in Hyères at the end of this month.
End of qualifications:
Tough conditions for those 2 days of qualifications. We had light and shifty wind on the first day, with a big crash (we were right of way) with the Russian. It cost us lot of energy as the hull had to be repaired and therefore we had to swope hull for the second day. But at the end, we could sail 5 races. With a 11, 8, 9, 2,17, we are currently sitting in 13rd place before entering the finals.
Here are the results.
Tomorrow the first 37 boats will race together in the Gold Fleet. Windy conditions are expected!
1200 sailors from 60 will take part from Monday at the 45th Trofeo Princess Sofia, ISAF sailing WorldCup.
In our class, more than 70 Nacra17 will be sailing this week. It is the biggest fleet we have had so far, we look forward to get on the water and compete against the best sailors in the world.
Stay tuned!
