Medal Race:
The top 10 boats were competing in a 20 minutes race. The wind was blowing 15-18knts but droped 5 minutes before the start and we ended up starting with the wrong gear... we were not very fast therefore we couldnt do our best tactic. We crossed the finishing line in 7th position which was enought to keep our 8th place overall. At the end of the day, we had to finish in the top 8 to achieve the National Team criterias for 2015, and we did it! Happy!
We showed lots of good things during this week and are super happy with our improvements. Few details which cost us a lot of places still need to be improved but we are on a good way!
A little break now before heading to Medemblik for the EuroCup at the end of May. Thanks to all of you for your support!
Day 5:
3 races was sailed in 12-15knts of East wind with choppy waves. We did a good first start with a nice upwind but we got caught in an incident in between 3 boats, had to do a 360 and lost a lot of distance. Then 2 poor starts made us fight to catch up during the whole race and finish twice in 7th place.
Tomorrow at 12:00 is the medal race, the final for the top 10 boats. We will start in 8th position.. let's have fun on the water!
Day 4:
A long day on the water, waiting for the seabreeze to stabilize! First race was sailed in 3-6knts with 40 degres shifts. We did a really good come back and finished 8th. Then the breeze picked up to 15knts and we did an awesome race with a 2nd place .. unfortunately we saw on the video that we were over the line at the start by just 2 meters (=BFD) so we droped to 7th overall..
It was a really good day for us on the water ... it's a pity we can't see it on the results :) But we still have 3 races to go tomorrow before the medal race! go go go !!! We keep fighting
Day 3:
We had a nice mistral wind blowing between 13-20knts. In race 1, we had a bit of an issue at the downwind mark when we got tangled with a non-right-of-way boat... nothing broken but not such a good race. With a 21st, 5th and 4th in Gold Fleet, we keep our 4th position overall.
Let's keep fighting tomorrow!

Day 2:
Perfect conditions for racing; fun in the sun with 10-15knts of East wind ;) We scored a 1st, 7th and 2nd which places us in 4th overall to enter the finals tomorrow. Live tracking starts tomorrow. Follow us!
Day 1:
The Easterly wind picked up from 10 to 15knts during the day, with nice waves to surf. We had a bit of difficulties in the starts but we had a really good speed and sailed well overall. We scored at 3rd, 2nd, and 10th and we are now 7th overall after the 1st day of qualifications.
More East wind is predicted for tomorrow... let's stay foccused and have fun!
80 Nacras will be competing this week for the last WorldCup of the season.
