WorldCup in Palma

Our first World cup in catamaran ended up last Friday, with lot of positive points.

On the first day, in a quite strong breeze of 15-20knts, we could manage 2nd at the top mark with a really good speed upwind. The downwind is still a bit freestyle for us, but we could learn a lot sailing with other Nacra around. We could score on this first day a 16,11,10.

Then the wind decrease for the 2 next days and we sail for the first time in less than 12knts on this boat. It was quite hard to find straight the right feelings. Our coordination on the boat was not perfect so not a super speed. But races after races, we could find the right setting for the mast, sails and tension and we could score 2 races of 9th and 2 of 11th. The starts are pretty "hot" with 33 Nacras around, but we could manage to start super good almost all the time.

Finaly, we end up 19th, 1st " no catamaran sailor" of the fleet. Here all the results

We look forard to keep on improving and see you in Hyères for the next WorldCup, 21-27th of April.

See you soon.
